On Monday June 18th in Colorado a family was traveling down I76 when the tire blew and the driver lost control. This became a fatal rollover accident. As tragic as this is there didn’t have to be a fatality! None of the 6 people, 2 adults and 4 children, in the car were properly restrained. All of them were ejected in the crash. An adult man, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

An adult woman and a child were airlifted to the hospital. The three remaining children were taken by ambulance. The police officer above was handed the 2 year old and he decided to sing to her to distract her from the carnage around her.

As paramedics went to work to save them, they handed the fourth child, a 2-year-old girl, to Struck.

“She was crying. She was soaked in gasoline from the truck. The smells were awful,” he told the Denver-area television station.

Struck said he has a two-year-old daughter, and he just did what he would want someone else to do for her.
