OK for once I’m not writing about Teen Mom 2 BUT last night on The Real Housewives Of Orange County there was a display of drunk driving. Now I know reality TV is hardly reality and we won’t even discuss if it is good TV but people do watch it and it does influence people.

In this particular episode the women are on the Island of Mo’orea in French Polynesia. On The show 3 of the “housewives” Vicki Gunvalson, Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador decide that after a day of boozing it up they want to stay at the hotel and be part of “team whoop it up,” they proceed to drink vodka in their hut and then take their drinks on the road!

Vicki at the wheel with wine in hand drives a gold court through the resort on decking over the ocean all the way INTO the restaurant, where they aren’t supposed to drive the cart. They proceed to drink more vodka shots and MORE and MORE MORE MORE, start kissing each other (picture below) then drink some more until they walk into the pool with all their clothes on and admit to peeing in the pool. Very classy for a group of 50 something women on vacation!

I have done some research and the drunk driving law in Mo’orea is 0.05% that is lower than in the US and it doesn’t matter what kind of vehicle you are in. Just a fun fact my father was once arrested for drunk walking in Trinidad, the only reason….he was walking with a bicycle because he thought he was too drunk to ride it and he was but because he had the bicycle he was arrested!
