We all know the tragedy that was the death of Paul Walker, but does the rest of the cast drive fast? Some of them admit to driving recklessly.
Early last week Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson side swiped a parked car in Massachusetts while he was admittedly listening to music and not paying attention. When the owner of the vehicle approached him, he recognized him as The Rock and all he wanted was a picture for instagram. I guess it’s good to be a star and not have to pay for damaging another persons vehicle, that has never happened to me but I’m not a wrestler/movie star!

In interviews with ET the cast opened up about their need for speed.

Michelle Rodriguez, whose character makes a return to the franchise after she was presumed dead in Fast Five, divulged that first learning to drive for the production of The Fast and the Furious may have caused her to form some reckless driving habits (her DUI’s didn’t help either).
“I got such a bad record with speeding ’cause I got my license for ‘Fast and Furious,'” said Rodriguez, who was 22 when she began filming the series. “After 11 points on your license, you’re like, ‘Yo, where’s that Prius at? I’m dropping this M3 somewhere.'”

Jordan Brewster admitted her fervor for fast as well. “I’m a little speed demon,” the Dallas actress confessed. “…My husband will slow down towards the red light and I’m like, ‘What are you doing?!? I want to get there!'”

Diesel revealed that he isn’t the speed demon that his character is because it would dent his public image if he were to receive a speeding ticket.
“I used to get speeding tickets back in New York when I was crazy, and then I started playing the Dom Toretto role and I feel like if I’m caught one mile over the speed limit, there’s going to be a national holiday,” he said.

Thankfully at least one member of the cast is being responsible. So leave the stunt driving and need for speed to closed driving courses with stunt drivers. As for us as always, DRIVE SAFE!
