If you have been on the roads recently, you will understand why this post is titled “Pothole Nation”.

Potholes everywhere!!!!!

And for that, you can thank the snow. When it snows, to keep the roads from getting too icy, salt is put on the ground, but that salt is also what creates these potholes.

You can mess up your wheel alignment, possibly get a flat, or even worse, a blow out that could possibly make you lose control of your car if you run into these potholes too fast. We all know that potholes can be hard to see, especially at night with a mixture of snow, ice and slush, but try to be careful for your safety, and other cars around you.

Trust me, I have hit a few this winter as well, but it helps to just go slow.

Hitting a pothole at 10 mph versus 30 mph can be the difference between driving off safely, and a flat tire. Take it slow on the roads, and if you do hit a pothole, try to remember its location so you won’t hit it twice.
